I often read aloud with my husband; it's like watching a Hallmark movie, but we can talk and laugh without missing any of the dialogue.This book by one of our go-to authors did not disappoint. The Cedar Cove setting was familiar and the story line took an interesting turn with historical significance. The sub-characters kept the story going along and provided a couple bumps along the way to the main character.
The WWII sub-plot was so interesting and left us reflecting on how that and other life stories were left for the telling.

This was another great story by Debbie Macomber. This had a great story line and the characters were good too. I recommend reading this book.
Another book about lifes trials and tribulations, and colorful characters brought to life. Loved it, love all fo Debbie Macomber's books. I listened to this one in audio version, during drive time. It was so good, I took it inside and listened to it on my computer while I read thru email.
Love all Debbie Macomber books. Have to put her books down. I get up in the morning and get right back into it after my bible reading. Love all her books n this was a really good one.
I really enjoyed this book. It had love, suspense when I thought the end of the friendship was over for good. A good read and kept my interest to the end.
Tidal buy a house and her family and friends are helping her move in and when they get their the house smells like urine and they end up ripping up the carpet and wash the floor and Aunt Joyce said everyone can come over for Christmas dinner and Tidla says how hard can it be to cook a turkey and everyone will bring a dish to pass . And she lives on conductance lane and she hates decorate so this should be interesting.
When the length of the book wasn't listed in the description, I should have known it would be a novella. The story was okay and I like Macomber's writing but I feel cheated when a book is so short or when it is a cliffhanger and that fact isn't mentioned in the description because I don't buy either one.
The Cedar Cove books by Debbie Macomber are absolutely excellent! I love them all! As I read the books, I feel like the characters are really my friends. She's that good at writing, and really getting her readers involved in the books. I'll be buying any further Cedar Cove books. As long as she writes them, I will buy them. Thank you Debbie Macomber.
